Today’s Wastage Is Tomorrow’s Shortage So Start Now Saving The
Earth For Tomorrow May Be Too Late
Report On Earth Day - Riya Ahmed, Agma Mariam Aju
Date: The week commencing from 21st
April,2013
Venue: Our Own English High School, Sharjah (Girls)
‘We believe in practicing what we preach’. Keeping this statement in mind we had ‘eco week’ in our school. The objective of this eco campaign was to involve every student in this eco run where every student was asked to make paper bags and contribute their old books for recycling or charity. This was a wonderful way of evolving the entire student body in performing this great act towards nature. We all got to learn, how we can take little steps and make a big difference. It was indeed a wonderful experience and we all enjoyed this ‘Eco Week’.
We look forward to do many more such
activities.

As you all know it was Environment day on 22nd April . Our school conducted many activities for that day . We had a walkathon , pledge , making of paper bags and even donating old text books and note books . The walkathon was held in the Festival City . The school also conducted pledges in classes . The Environment Day activities were enlightning for all students , teachers and even for parents !!!! We made paper bags to use it in our daily life . Of course , books for recycling . We are the ones who should clean up the mess , that we made to the motherly earth . If we follow the pledge we can make the earth neat and clean , for us to live our life's peacefully and comfortably on Mother Earth .!!!!
